Eftersom jag lider av "kronisk namnafasi" är jag alltid tvungen att slå upp personer...
Om Paula Rego hittade jag följande vid en enkel sökning:

Biographical Note
Paula Rego was born in Portugal in 1935 but has lived in the UK since 1976. She has always maintained that her childhood playroom, a rich education in traditional folk and fairy tales, and an early interest in illustrative art have been her geatest influences. Subsequently, her narrative work has explored power, sexuality and the subversion of social codes. She has also said that her work is "... to do with half things. With cheating and lying - the half sins, the mediocre ones."
